Support, Soldier, Star - Meet Mikael
We’re back with another portrait of the people behind the TeQflo brand. In this post we have the pleasure to introduce Mikael Lindquist, our got-to guy when it comes to solving hardware issues, I should know, we often share the same desk.
It’s a privilege having Mikael as a desk neighbor, I have full and direct access to support. I don’t even need to ask any more, as soon as I start making my grumpy sounds, Mikael is there to help.
The other day, Henrik, got a flat tire on his way to work, who did he call? Mikael. A problem solver, who enjoys helping, fixing and solving stuff for other people.
He was one of the first people to join TeQflo and as our colleague Martin Hallbeck told us in his previous post, he was attracted by the organizational plan.
- I have worked with a couple of the guys before and I know how extremely competent they are, says, Mikael.
So that’s why you decided to join the company?
- Yes, that’s one of the main reasons, working with very skilled, great people but also the vision of TeQflo and the progressive organizational structure, I think that’s a model that fits me perfectly.
Mikael never felt any fear of joining a startup, but then again with his experience, he has a different perspective on life.
6 Months in Afghanistan
In 2011 Mikael was deployed for military service in Afghanistan. Being a part of the Swedish military forces with the mission to sustain peace and security. Those months made an impact on Mikael.
- It was a bit of an adventure, but I also wanted to make some small contribution to the world. The comradery and group dynamic are hard to explain, it’s amazing, but you also see a lot of misery, extreme poverty. Still, many of the Afghan people are really friendly and generous.
Coming back home to Sweden, Mikael believes he is more grateful for what he got.
Now he brings those experiences with him, that and four years as an IT in-house seller as he contributes to the scale up of TeQflo.
After spending a couple of months at the company, his really enjoying his work, stating that the 3 principles that’s the foundation of TeQflo, self-management, wholeness and evolutionary purpose is the reason.
So what is it you do?
- I mainly help our customers with hardware. Ordering, buying and tailoring equipment that’s adjusted to the user. It’s usually computers, screens, audio and video. Also, I install and setup conference rooms, collaboration areas, both physical and digital rooms. And I also work on some minor IT projects.
Mikael says that he has a major interest working with new tech, but he’s not a total tech-nerd. His main hobby is video games, although with 2 kids and a wife, he doesn’t have a lot of time playing, he enjoys Call of Duty and playing Fortnite with his oldest son.
How do you see the future for TeQflo?
- We are growing, and we are going to keep growing, I believe in the model, as I said we have a very progressive organisation, we’re going to be the leading digitalisation company.
And with those word we say thanks to Mikael!
