Leave No Stone Unturned - Learn, Explore & Innovate
In this post we examine a mindset, one of TeQflos brand values if you will, we’ll explore exploration. A trait many of us here at TeQflo share and an activity many of us engage in with pleasure…kind of.
Curiosity, that’s one of our brand values and mindsets. Curiosity is a very powerful force, we probably all know how motivation can sink as rock when we find our selfs stuck at the same place or being without a challenge, something to achieve physically or intellectually. Whether it’s in your career, in a video game, or being stuck at the substitution bench, the yearning for more.
Some people take on a new challenge with no fear at all, I’m not one of them. Although I know I need them I have a hard time taking the leap on my own. If I’ll ever go bungy jumping someone will probably need to push me over the edge.
But even so, I may resist a challenge I will do it. (Except for bungy jumping, parachuting and more), I’m talking about challenges in correlation to my work now.
There might be a grain of stubbornness in it but mostly it’s about curiosity, I want to know more. And the urge to learn, explore and innovate is always greater than fear.
Even Dalai Lama said that, life is about learning new things.
It’s a very satisfying feeling when conquering a task or mastering a new app or software.
Sure there are moments when you want to give up, when your brain had enough and just isn’t cooperating taking in new information and knowledge.
This summer I spent many long days learning the Hubspot software. (TeQflo is a partner agency to Hubspot)
Although I love marketing it was a lot of stuff to take in and at times it would be quite painful, with beautiful weather, the beach and a beer seemed very intriguing. But I put the work in, motivated by my colleagues doing the same and the exploratory mindset.
Today I’m 14 certificates deep and running. TeQflo is one of, if not the most certified Hubspot partners in Sweden and we only just begun, thank you curiosity for that!
A workplace where you have the possibility to evolve through exploring will never be dull. Your new found knowledge could be of great value for the business, your great spirit thanks to your meaningful activities will bring you more joy and in the end a better quality of life.
Curiosity I think is also one of the main driving forces for creativity, something I’m very passionated about. I will tell more on my views on creativity in blog posts to come.
So, yes, it’s going to hurt at some point and you might go down the wrong road at times and make mistakes, but that’s fine, the sum of it all is always worth it.
Curiosity, an exploratory and a innovative mindset will lead you to great things. Dalai Lama said it and so do we!
