My 5 biggest reasons for joining TeQflo
Under the hashtag and theme #TeQfloLife you’ll get a little glimpse behind the scenes and a more personal engagement with the people behind the business.
In the last post, you got to know TeQflos founder Henrik Börjesson a bit more and the story of how TeQflo came to be. In this post you’ll get the perspective of growth consultant Jonas Lundh, Who’ll share his thoughts on organizational management and why he loves his role at the company. Here we go!
I’m happy that I’ve experienced ”real work”, cleaning toilets for a living, working in a factory, stuff like that, struggling a bit, I think it’s healthy.
Although it was for a brief period of time, I got to learn what it means to hate your work, to wake up with anxiety, getting up almost before going to bed, hard work basically. My mindset has always been that as long as you like and enjoy what you’re doing, then by all means keep doing that, no matter what anybody else thinks.
But me, I wasn’t happy on the factory floor, I wasn’t feeling creative packing boxes and putting them on a assembly line, for some that might be a perfect fit, but I wanted to escape.
In general you spend 8 hours a day at your work and putting it in a bigger perspective (that of life), then it’s a lot of time going around feeling miserable.
Ever since, I’ve been searching for the right place for me, I've gone down the entrepreneurial road, running my own event management business for a couple of years, I worked with marketing and event at Venture Cup, helping other entrepreneurs and startups, all very fulfilling in it’s way.
But at TeQflo I found my perfect match, the philosophy of our business is something I buy into with all of my heart.
Just like Henrik mentioned in his post, I’m also striving for fulfillment and purpose, I haven’t figured it all out yet (who has?) But here's my 5 big points for joining TeQflo:
1. Self Management
Meaning I’m a part of the group but I get to adjust my preferences, so that I function at my best. This way I have the best of conditions, having that type of trust and acknowledgement makes me grow. In this term I also include co-responsibility.
2. Wholeness
In 2018 it’s pretty obvious (at least for me) that separating your personal life and professional is near damn impossible. Being a professional doesn’t mean that you can go to work feeling nothing, no matter what level you’re on, your personal life will effect your work, whether you want to or not. Just having that mindset, makes me comfortable. I think in the end it’s of benefit for me and the business. Which leads us in to the next one.
3. Imma Be Me
The thing I love most about TeQflo is the dedication and focus on people, on us. We try to understand individual needs and fulfill them as much as we can. I say we, because we, everyone with some role on the team, all of us is responsible. Many companies say this, but I think the biggest differentiation with TeQflo is that it’s an outspoken policy, that you get to be you, you are hired for your skills, but first and foremost for your persona and that’s a f*cking awesome feeling, I am hired because I am me, yeah!
4. Failing (exploration)
The topic of failure has been hyped for the last couple of years, at least in the startup world. More and more people and companies is changing their attitude towards failures. The fear of failure holds you back, one of the mindsets of TeQflo is a curious mind, being exploratory. Exploring new ideas and paths is one of the most important things for me, if I can’t explore and see what’s up behind the next door, try or speak my mind, my motivation is gone in a minute. Being able to express any idea is not obvious in every organisation, hierarchy, prestige and ignorance often hinders for great ideas to flourish. To generate new ideas, to get creativity flowing, so that in the end they contribute to the bottom line numbers of the business, it’s essential to have a totally uncritical approach to new ideas, it’s a beautiful thing when this process works flawlessly.
(Ideas and creativity is one of my favorite topics, I will go deeper on the subject in this blog further ahead)
5. Collaboration
On my entrepreneurial adventures I discovered that to me, doing things on my own, was boring. I get satisfaction when interacting with other people. A part of this is probably my curiosity in my fellow humans, it’s fascinating what can become when a group with various backgrounds and experience works towards the same goal. Also knowing that I have not only supportive colleagues at hand but also competences in a wide rang of fields, is truly inspirational and makes me fully believe that we really can help our customers in the best way possible, and in the end, that’s our mission!
In conclusion, TeQflo isn’t for everyone, I’ve learned that people have different needs, and that’s OK, but if you feel misplaced in the ”normal” corporate world and what I’ve written here triggers you’re curiosity, then by all means, welcome to connect with us, and see how deep the rabbit hole goes=)
